To all the crafty people out there...

I've been saving potential craft materials from the recycling bin, and while cleaning up our craft closet, I discovered that I've accumulated quite a collection of empty toilet paper and paper towel rolls!

Do you have any ideas for crafts that will use a bunch of them at one time?

Tape them to the walls using painter's tape and use them as a marble run/small doll slide?

I did a sock organizer for my daughter here. You'll have to scroll down a little to see it.

I love the marble tubes idea! Here is my suggestion. Make a crown. First take a strip of cardboard and cut it the length to go around your daughter's head. Cut some of the tubes to make different lengths. Let your daughter decorate them with paint, markers, glitter, stickers, whatever. Then place the cardboard strip on the table and glue or tape the toilet paper tubes to it. Tape the ends of the strip together to make your crown. All done! Just a suggestion. I tried to come up with something quick. :-P

We made a rather elaborate marble run with a series of these once, and it was a lot of fun!

They are also good for making rain sticks.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I wanted to answer your question about the easy banana nut oatmeal recipe. I use regular rolled oats--not instant. You may need to adjust cooking time for your microwave. Enjoy!

Oh, and Amy, thanks for your reply re: the oatmeal, it looks yummy! :)

I can see them being turned into little people with some paper or paint and a big pom pom for the head and pipe cleaners for the arms/legs.
